The Castle Rugby Championship gets underway this weekend as the Springboks play the Wallabies in Australia, with the tournament coming to Johannesburg next Saturday when South Africa hosts the All Blacks of New Zealand at Ellis Park.
We are offering a pre-game beer tour and meal special package, which includes a 75-minute guided tour at the SAB World of Beer, a souvenir glass, two drink vouchers and a meal (chicken or beef prego roll with chips and salad), all for just R250. Booking is essential, so please phone us as soon as possible on 011 836 4900 to secure your place.
The World of Beer is situated in Joseph Street, Newtown, which is less than eight kilometres from Ellis Park Stadium. The match kicks off at 17:05, so you will have plenty of time to get to the stadium after lunch.
Since 2012, the only rugby match the All Blacks have lost, was the game against the Springboks at Ellis Park last year. Patrick Lambie kicked a 55-metre penalty right at the end of the match, giving South Africa a 27-25 victory.
The Springboks beat a World XV 46-10 at Newlands in Cape Town last week, but the coach, the players and the fans know that there is a lot to do ahead of the upcoming 2015 IRB Rugby World Cup. The All Blacks are the defending champions and a victory against them ahead of the big tournament would be a huge morale boost for the men in green and gold.
We hope to see you before the game!
